Why Use Molecular Sieve in Insulated Glass?

Insulated glass units (double or triple glazed windows) require desiccant materials in spacer bars to remove residual moisture and prevent condensation or fogging inside the glass cavity. The right desiccant must:

  • Adsorb water even at low humidity

  • Survive thermal cycles (expansion/contraction)

  • Have low dusting and insignificant gas adsorption
